About Me

I've been a solitary seeker I think for about a year and half now.  Although I appear pretty normal, I've always felt on the fringe because I didn't have the same interests or perspective as my family or peers.  Things changed for me when I was attending a group on herbalism and met some people who considered themselves witches.  You mean magic and the things I fantasized about were actually real???  I attended a witchcraft group meetup for people new to the craft.  Some things resonated with me a lot.  But I was turned off by the deity worship.  I attended a few local rituals.  But couldn't get past what seemed to me more like a poor stage production than anything magical.  I started reading about witchcraft.  Thanks to Amazon.com's suggested book lists, I continued to find new paths to follow.  I then found podcasts, which opened up another resource.  But none of the paths I looked into totally jived with me, so I never sought membership into a group or coven. I also felt that magic was deeply personal and intimate, and questioned whether groups were even the way to go.  I found Heritage Witchcraft initially on Witchvox, and immediately it seemed to resonate.  I checked out the website and starting listening to audio and reading the forums.  And now here I am, and I'm excited about being able to chime in to the discussions :)

Silver
Slowly, silently, now the moon
Walks the night in her silver shoon;
This way, and that, she peers, and sees
Silver fruit upon silver trees;
One by one the casements catch
Her beams beneath the silvery thatch;
Couched in his kennel, like a log,
With paws of silver sleeps the dog;
From their shadowy cote the white breasts peep
Of doves in silver feathered sleep
A harvest mouse goes scampering by,
With silver claws, and silver eye;
And moveless fish in the water gleam,
By silver reeds in a silver stream.

Hey Silver Moon I wanted to ask everyone something for a while I have been using my birth / adopted given name and with your name why and how did that come about and if I'm being too noisy just tell me so but I have wondered for a while because should I try to come up with a name for myself? I am really interested in how the name Silver moon came to you or was it given to you? Did you hear it in a dream?

"We are everlasting lovers and beloved.
We never separate.
We are eternally husband and wife; never do we become mother and father.
No offspring is seen in our lap.
We are lover and beloved ever-embracing.
In between us we do not permit any third creature demanding affection.
Our life is a life of perpetual pleasure."
